SM&MS are pleased to announce the completion of our new Head Office premises in Huddersfield.

Our strong and continued growth over the past 12 years led to a requirement for additional space.

Aedas architects were appointed with a design brief to develop a Head Office that was liveable, distinctive and environmentally sustainable. Our key objectives were to minimise water and energy use. To this end the building incorporates:

• High levels of insulation
• Rainwater harvesting for WC flushing
• High levels of natural lighting
• Highly efficient under floor heating
• Passive cooling with no mechanical air handling/conditioning

During the design stage the building was modelled by Faber Maunsell Consultants to confirm that the building would be comfortable without air conditioning.
