At SM&MS, Health and Safety Consultants are available to give advice to clients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This enables the employer to act swiftly and efficiently without risk.

Regulation 7 of Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 requires employers to appoint one or more 'competent persons' to assist him/her in undertaking the measures he/she needs to take to comply with the relevant statutory provisions.

SM&MS' Health and Safety Consultants have been appointed by many companies to assist them in the carrying out of their duties under health and safety legislation.

Our regular newsletter and she-mailer updating service ensures that you are kept up to date with new legislation, Codes of Practices, etc. as well as information on case studies, litigation, etc.

SM&MS will liase with the Enforcing Authorities in the event of an Enforcement Notice being served or possible prosecution.

Our Consultants will provide advice as far as possible and will appear as an expert witness in court, on behalf of the client, if necessary
